F Troop is a satirical American television sitcom western about U.S. soldiers and Native Americans in the Wild West during the 1860s that originally aired for two seasons on ABC. It debuted in the United States on September 14, 1965, and concluded its run on April 6, 1967, with a total of 65 episodes. The first season of 34 episodes was broadcast in black-and-white, the second season in color.
The series relied heavily on character-based humor; verbal and visual gags, slapstick, physical comedy and burlesque comedy make up the prime ingredients of F Troop. The series played fast and loose with historical events and persons, and often parodied them for comical effect. There were some indirect references made to the culture of the 1960s such as a “Playbrave Club” (a parody of a Playboy Club)[2] and two rock and roll bands (one which performs songs written in the 1960s).

ACTORS: Mathias is a blond 10 year old. He’s knowledgeable for his age as a result of his somewhat cosmopolitan education. Anna is a freckly 10 year-old redhead. Orphaned at an early age. Lively, intelligent and with a searching mind, she’s the one with the sense of humour and sharp one liners.
STRUCTURE & TONE OF THE STORIES: The two protagonists in this series are children and, despite their superhuman potentialities, they behave as such. They always travel accompanied by an adult, they never go out late at night and wherever they stay they’re in the company of relatives. It is within this context that the storyline develops in its own way. They’re not out to put the world to rights, yet they are endowed with a strong sense of justice and they seek to do good in the face of evil.

Capitan Walter, albetto spillato uscito nel 1952 per le edizioni AVE. Forse pochi lo ricordano ma i 227 fascicoli pubblicati fino al 1957 sono un interessante pezzo di storia italiana. Non solo del fumetto, pure della vita sociale, del comune sentire, delle aspirazioni di quei ragazzi di allora. Le firme degli autori sono quelle che hanno fatto il fumetto anni 50 e 60. E nonostante si senta la forte influenza dei comics e della cultura americana sono meno provinciali, meno schiacciati sul genere dominante. Talenti provenienti dal fratello maggiore Il Vittorioso. Storie a volte – non sempre – un poco ingenue intrise di buoni sentimenti e speranza per il futuro, Quella speranza che ha permesso alla disastrata Italia di uscire dalle rovine della guerra e conquistarsi un posto di prestigio nel mondo. Una speranza che oggi manca e che forse leggendo Capitan Walter potrebbe stimolare qualcuno ad essere meno fatalista e pessimista. Artisti anonimi (allora) più interessati a creare un buon prodotto che alle sterili passerelle dove tutti vengono chiamati maestri.

Adam is a figure in the Book of Genesis in the Hebrew Bible, from where he was adopted into Christian belief and the Quran. According to the creation myth of the Abrahamic religions, he was the first man. In both Genesis and Quran, Adam and his wife were expelled from a Garden of Eden for eating the fruit of the tree of knowledge of good and evil.
Various forms of creationism and biblical literalism consider Adam to be a historical person. Scientific evidence does not support the idea that the entire human population descends from a single man.
The word adam is also used in the Bible as a pronoun, individually as “a human” and in a collective sense as “mankind”. Biblical Adam (man, mankind) is created from adamah (earth), and Genesis 1–8 makes considerable play of the bond between them, for Adam is estranged from the earth through his disobedience.
How does a scriptwriter react to the misadventures he has always only imagined?
Adam, who has fled from his country (in our comic it is for political reasons, but it can be changed), has to learn how to survive in a primitive and hostile environment.
The classic fugitive scenario but, being a normal person, he has to deal with situations by drawing on to his cultural background (films/books/comics) rather than using muscle power.

The Bruce Springsteen Archives and Center for American Music at Monmouth University serves as the official archival repository for Bruce Springsteen’s written works, photographs, periodicals, and artifacts. The Center will preserve and promote the legacy of Bruce Springsteen and his role in American music, while honoring and celebrating icons of American music like Woody Guthrie, Robert Johnson, Hank Williams, Frank Sinatra, and others.
Since 2011, Monmouth University has served as home of the Bruce Springsteen Special Collection, which comprises nearly 35,000 items from 47 countries, ranging from books and concert memorabilia, to articles and promotional materials. The collection serves the research and informational needs of music fans, scholars, authors and others with a serious interest in the life and career of The Boss.
On January 10, 2017, a new partnership to create The Bruce Springsteen Archives and Center for American Music was announced. We envision a future that exponentially builds upon our ability to provide scholars, students, and fans from around the globe, public access to an expansive array of archives and programming. The Center will be the destination for stimulating academic discourse and discussion, and will provide entertainment, knowledge, and insight into the works of Bruce Springsteen and other legendary figures of American music.
The adventures of two T.V. journalists whose jobs lead them to come up against major and minor dramas.
To give an idea of the style, their stories resemble the T. V. series Hill Street Blues and N.Y. Police Dept. Besides the story, the human side of the main characters and their interpersonal relationships are developed.
The main characters:
Harry, the eldest, once a newspaper reporter (like Lou Grant) changed over to T. V. during the Vietnam period. His thorny character keeps him away from office work and leads him to work out and about with his colleague Allen. Divorced, his wife Linda does not want to see him so he communicates through their daughter Kay, who lives with him.
Allen, Harrys young colleague, whose experience so far has been in television, has been teamed up with the older man to learn the trade. More easy-going and lighter-hearted, a sense of genuine affection binds him to Harry and his feelings for Kay go even deeper.
Kay, Harrys 18 years old daughter is her sophomore year of college majoring in English literature. Even though she has nothing to do with the work of her father and Allen, she seems to fit in with them perfectly. She longs to eventually become a script writer and her closeness to Hollywood is for her a constant inspiration. She is not unaware of Allens shy advances but she keeps him at a distance while at the same time stringing him along.

Although his name may not be familiar to children of the 1960s, ’70s, and ’80s who grew up on Saturday morning cartoons, Alex Toth (1928-2006) was responsible for creating and designing many of the characters those children cherished.
In 1947, Alex Toth began illustrating comic books for DC Comics. At the age of 19, he was tasked with penciling several of the company’s comic book series, such as Action Comics, Detective Comics, The House of Secrets, Green Lantern, All-American Western, and numerous others.
However, Toth is best known for his animation work for Hanna-Barbera Productions, Inc. Beginning in 1965, he was responsible for inventing and designing many of their cartoon characters in addition to storyboarding their television episodes. Through sketches and model sheets, Toth conceived and shaped the look and feel of some of Hanna-Barbera’s most popular characters, including Space Ghost, Birdman and the Galaxy Trio, the Super Friends, Thundarr the Barbarian, Captain Caveman, and many others. Working with Hanna-Barbera over the next two decades, Toth gave life to the heroes of a generation of television viewers.
Recognized for his contributions to the comics industry, Toth was inducted into the Jack Kirby Hall of Fame in 1990.
