Happy B-Day Giovanni Ticci

Giovanni Ticci (born 20 April 1940; age 82) is an Italian comic book artist who is best known as one of the major artists on the series Tex.

He started in the industry in 1956 for Studio D’Ami, with his first publication coming in 1958 when he penciled a story for A Boy in the Far West with inks Franco Bignotti and written by Sergio Bonelli. From 1960 through 1966, he worked for Alberto Giolitti’s studio, working on western and science fiction titles, including some work on the Star Trek series for Gold Key Comics, Gunsmoke, and Turok.
